R1b is the most common haplogroup in western Europe (see frequency distribution maps), so it is not surprising that it is a common haplogroup in the project.
Western Atlantic Modal Haplotype — WAMH

Of the many haplotypes represented within R1b, the most common 12-marker haplotype is called the "Western Atlantic Modal Haplotype."  In the results tables below, the R1b modal haplotypes are highlighted in cyan and are used as standards against which to compare our R1b members.  The modal value for each marker is taken independently; no one individual is modal for all values, so no one actually has this entire haplotype.  FTDNA members whose 12-marker haplotype matches one of the four most common 12-marker R1b haplotypes will find they have a WAMH logo on their member page.

Thirty-two project members are Haplogroup R1b; they fall into 10 subclades and 29 families.

#N37888 is a transfer from the National Geographic Society's Genographic Project.  At 12 markers, he has one of the four most common R1b haplotypes, so he is designated WAMN by FTDNA and has hundreds of full matches in the FTDNA database.  He has, in fact, the most common 9-marker R1b haplotype in Denmark.  Still, he has no full or even near matches in the FTDNA database at 25 (or 37) markers and no match in the project.

#72898 has an 11/12 match with the R1b modal haplotype; so, not surprisingly, he has over a thousand 12/12 matches in the FTDNA database, alone.  At 25 markers, however, his match with the modal haplotype falls away; and he has no full matches and only a dozen or so near match at this level.  He has no full or even near matches at 37 markers.

Because this individual has one of the WAMH haplotypes, he has hundreds of matches at 12 markers (all in other surnames), including with one of the R-U106 JENSENs (Deme 29).  Your project admin recommends this member upgrade to at least 37 markers, to distance himself from the coincidental matches and determine whether his match with the JENSEN is significant..

#N44908 has a perfect 12/12 match with the WAMH, so it is not surprising that he has over a thousand matches in the FTDNA database (and over 1200 in the Ysearch database).  In fact, he possesses the 7th most common 9-marker haplotype in Denmark.  At 12 markers, he also matches other members of this project.  Your project admin recommends that #N44908 upgrade to at least 37 markers to get a better assessment of his relationship to them.

#N30859 has transferred in 12 markers from the National Geographic Society's Genographic Project.  He has an uncommon haplotype, with fewer than a dozen matches in the FTDNA database.  Most of these matched individuals have tested 37 or 67 markers, so your project admin recommends upgrading to 37 or 67 markers to see if the resemblance is maintained or falls away.

#N44326 is a transfer from the National Geographic Society's Genographic Project.  Based on 12 markers, he is deduced to be R-1b1a-2.  This individual has an uncommon haplotype (for an R-1b1a-2) with just sixteen 12/12 matches in the FTDNA database, all in other surnames.  He does have one 11/12 match in the project (see the HANSEN in the next table).  I recommend upgrading to 37 markers to see if this match holds up or falls away.

This individual's social surname is ALLEN, but he is biologically surnamed HANSEN.  This individual has a rare haplotype.  He has only a handfull of matches at 12 markers, and no full or even near matches at 25 or more markers in the FTDNA database; likewise, at Ysearch, he has only two 12/12 matches and no full matches above 12/12.
#110236 has undergone deep SNP testing at FTDNA, with these results:
M207+ M173+ M343+ P25+ M73- M269+ M65- M153- SRY2627- M126- M160- M37- M222- P66- M18-
The first set of positive results prove he is R-1b1; the negative result for M73 proves he is not R-1b1a-1; the positive result for M269 proves he is R-1b1a-2; the next set of negative results rule out subclades of R-1b1a-2a1b; the negative result for M18 rules out R-1b1c and, thus, R-1b1c.

This THORN was originaly CHRISTENSEN.  He has hundreds of matches at 12 markers, but none in the project and none in either THORN or CHRISTENSEN.  Your project admin recommends upgrading to more markers to gain separation from these distant matches.

Not surprisingly, these first cousins (once removed) are a 37/37 match.  Their haplotype is uncommon, with only a handful of matches at 12 or 25 markers and no matches at 37 markers, except with each other.

#157348 is an 11/12 match with the modal haplotype for R1b, so he has over 100 exact matches at 12 markers in the FTDNA database.  He has a dozen or so near matches, but no full matches, at 25 markers.  At 37 markers, he pulls well away from the modal haplotype and has no full or even near matches at 25 markers.  I recommend uploading to Ysearch to see if there may be a match there.  Until he gets a near match at 37 markers, there's no need to upgrade to 67 markers.

#N70876 has a very rare haplotype, especially for an R1b.  He has no matches, whatsoever, in the FTDNA database.
This individual has been deep SNP tested at FTDNA, with these results:
M269+ L23+ L49+ 150+ L51+   P310+ P311+ L151+ U106- U198- P107- L1- L48- P312- M65- M153- SRY2627- U152- M126- M160- L2- L20- L4- L21-
The positive value for M269 means he is R-1b1a-2.  The positive values for L23, L49, L150, and L51 mean he is R-1b1a-2a1a.  The positive values for P310, P311, and L151 mean he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1. The negative value for U106 means he is not R-1b1a-2a1a-1a, and the negative values for U198, P107, L1, and L48 redundantly confirm it. The negative value for P312 means he is not R-1b1a-2a1a-1b, and the negative values for M65, M153, SRY2627, U152, M126, M160, L2, L20, L4, and L21 redundantly confirm it.

Not surprisingly, this father and son match each other perfectly.  Beyond that, however, they have an uncommon haplotype with only a few dozen matches at 12 markers (in other surnames) and no full or even near matches at 25 or higher markers, except with each other.

This father and son match each other perfectly at 67 markers.  They have a close resemblance to the WAMH at 12 markers; so, not surprisingly, they have hundreds of full matches at 12 markers and hundreds of near matches at 25 markers.  Still, they have only a few full matches at 25 markers and no full or even near matches at 37 markers, much less 67 markers (checking both the FTDNA and Ysearch databases).  Their haplotype remains unique and easily distinguishable at 37 or 67 markers.
#61742 has undergone deep SNP testing at FTDNA, with these results:
M207+ M173+ M343+ P25+ M73- M269+ U106+ U198- P107- M65- M153- SRY2627- U152- M126- M160- M37- M222- P66- M18-
The first set of positive SNP test results prove he is R-1b1.  The negative result for M73 rules out R-1b1a-1.  The positive results for M269 and U106 prove he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1a.  The negative results for U198 and P107 rule out two of the subclades of R-1b1a-2a1a-1a.  The next set of negative results rule out the subclades of R-1b1a-2a1a-1b. The negative result for M18 rules out R-1b1c-1 and, thus, R-1b1c.

#N88182 has hundreds of matches at 12 markers, but these quickly fall away to just a handful of distant matches at 25 of more markers (none in surname JENSEN), which is not surprising given his distance from the modal haplotype above 12 markers.  He does have a 12/12 match with the JUHL (Deme 5), but the JUHL will have to upgrade to more markers before we can tell if the match is significan.t
#N88182 has undergone deep SNP testing at FTDNA, with these results:
U106+ U198- P107- L48- L1- P312- L21-
The positive value of U106 proves he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1a.  The first set of negative results rule out four of the subclades of U106.  The second set of negative results rule out R-1b1a-2a1a-1b and its major subclade, L21.

.
#23401 and #58963 are half-brothers (with different mothers, but obviously with the same father).  They have a rare haplotype, with only a dozen or so 12/12 matches (in other surnames) and no full or even near matches at 25, 37, or 67 markers (except with each other, of course). [#23401 is your project admin's late father.]
The standard test for the paired marker DYS385ab does not reveal the true order of the alleles, so, by convention, the values are reported Lo-Hi, but a Kittler test will reveal the true order of the alleles.  Both brothers have undergone Kittler tests which reveal they are actually Hi-Lo, which is, in fact, the modal order for R1b.  Even if you have been Kittler tested, your results will remain Lo-Hi in the FTDNA database and at Ysearch (and here) for purposes of comparison and searching.
Both individuals have undergone deep SNP testing at FTDNA; these are their cumulative results:
M207+ M173+ M343+ P25+ M73-  M269+ U106+ U198- P107- L1- L48+ L47+ L44- L148- L164- M65- M153- U152- M126- M160- M37- M222- P66- SRY2627- Z8- Z9- M18-
The first set of positive results prove they are R-1b1; the second set of positive results proves they are R-1b1a-2a1a-1a; the third set of positive results proves they are R-1b1a-2a1a-1a4a or R-L47*; the negative results redundantly rule out other subclades.
Update:  #58963 has tested Z159, and he is positive.  This SNP is one step downsteam of L47 and is, so far, terminal.

#63184 has a 12/12 match with the WAMH and possesses the 7th most common 9-marker haplotype in Denmark, so it is not surprising that he has over a thousand 12/12 matches in the FTDNA database (and over 1200 in the Ysearch database).  However, his number of matches falls off dramatically at 25 markers (to just over 100), and he has no matches, at all, at 37 or 67 markers (at FTDNA or at Ysearch as of 5/07).
#63184 has undergone deep SNP testing at FTDNA, with these results:
M207+ M173+ M343+ P25+ M73- M269+ P310+ P311+ U106- U198- P107- P312+ M65- M153- U152- M126- M160- L21- M37- M222- P66- SRY2627- M18-
The first set of positive results prove he is R-1b1; the negative result for M73 proves he is not R-1b1a-1; the next set of positive results prove he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1; the next set of negative results proves he is not R-1b1a-2a1a-1a; the positive result for P312 proves he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1b; the next set of negative results proves he is not these subclade of R-1b1a-2a1b-1b; the negative result for M18 proves he is not R-1b1c-1 and, thus, not R-1b1c.

#86729 has several dozen matches at 12 markers (all in other surnames and outside the project), but no full or even near matches at 25 or 37 markers.  His haplotype remains unique.
This individual has undergone deep SNP testing at FTDNA, with these results:
P312+ U152+ L2+ L20- M126- M160- L21- M222-
The positive results prove he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1b3c.  The negative result for L20 proves he is not that subclade of L2.  The negative results for M126 and M160 redundantly prove he is not those subclades of U152.  The negative results for L21 and M222 redundantly prove he is not those subclades of P312.

#N29988 is a transfer from the National Geographic Society's Genographic Project, who has upgraded his testing to 37 markers.  While this individual has over a dozen matches at 12 markers, he has only a few near matches at 25 markers, and no full or even near matches at 37 markers.  For now, his haplotype remains unique, at least in the FTDNA database.
This individual has undergone deep SNP testing at FTDNA, with these results:
P312+ L21+ M37- M222- P66- M65- M153- SRY2627- U152-
The positive results prove he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1b4.  The first set of negative results proves he is not these subclades of L21.  The second set of negative results redundantly proves he is not these subclades of P312.

#157109 has a common haplotype with dozens of full or near matches in the FTDNA database, though none in the project and none in surname HANSEN.  Your project admin recommends upgrading to at least 37 markers to determine if any of these low-level matches are supported.
This individual has been deep SNP tested at FTDNA, with these results:
P312+ SRY2627+ M163- M65- U152- M160- L2- L20- L21-
The positive results prove he is R-1b1a-2a1a-1b5a; the negative result for M163 redundantly proves he is not R-1b1a-2a1a-1a4a-1 and, thus, not R-1b1a-2a1a-1a (U106); the remaining negative results prove he is not some other subclade of R-1b1a-2a1a-1b.
