him "Dr." Some say his brother-in-law was Charles OAKES; others say
Elizabeth's maiden name was HUDON BEAULIEU. Sources disagree with
regard to Charles's middle names, which are variously shown as: William,Wolf,
William Wolf, de Wolf, and William Gustave. All agree he was a Dane.
Some say he arrived in 1831; others say 1849.
